Verizon Launching 14 Phones This Year

samsung-rogue-u960 Verizon Wireless is all set to give its competitors a run for their money. If rumormongers are to be believed, by the end of this year we can expect to see around 14 new cell phones from this prominent American carrier.

Samsung Rogue U960
Also known as Samsung Glyde 2, this upcoming Samsung phone will be probably launched next month. This phone will feature touchscreen AMOLED display and a sliding QWERTY keyboard.



Samsung Omnia II
The Verizon Omnia II, scheduled to be launched this Christmas, will be the Samsung i920 handset model.

Samsung U450 and Strut U440
Two more Samsung devices will be churned out by Verizon – Samsung U450 and Samsung U440.



Samsung Convoy U640
This will be a push-to-talk phone to be launched by Verizon.

Casio push-to-talk phones
Although, the exact specifications of these Casio phones are not yet clear, but nonetheless, we can expect two new push-to-talk Casio phones – Casio Rock C731 and Casio Brigade C741, from Verizon.




LG Chocolate Touch VX8575
This fourth Chocolate series phone from Verizon will be a full touchscreen smart device.

BlackBerry Storm 2 9550
You can expect to see this Verizon BlackBerry device this fall. From whatever information is available, we know that BlackBerry Storm 2 will be an upgraded version of Storm 1. It will run on quad band GSM, Edge, and single band UMTS and HSDPA connectivity. Storm 2 will run on the latest OS 5 operating system. It will feature 3.2-megapixel camera.

Nokia Shade 2705
This Nokia phone is designed to replace the Nokia Mirage 2605 phone.

Nokia Twist 7705
Given the name of this phone, you can expect to find a Verizon phone with a rotating display.

Motorola Harmony W766
Motorola Harmony W766, to be introduced by Verizon, will replace the Motorola W755 phone. This Motorola clamshell will be a touch sensitive multimedia music phone. It will feature 3-megapixel camera with auto focus. Harmony will have huge storage capacity with 4GB internal memory. The powerful battery of the phone will support more than 30 hours of music playback.

Motorola V860
This will be another phone of Verizon’s push-to-talk series.

Palm Treo 800w
Palm Treo 800w is already available via Sprint. From next February, Treo 800w will be available also on Verizon Wireless.
