Sweet potato Bread Pudding
Pudding is an excellent desert that can be served after meals. Sweet potato bread pudding itself is a delicious dessert and when you add pecans and dates then it will add extra flavor to your pudding. The following tips may help you to make a different type of pudding.
Tips to Make Sweet Potato Bread Pudding
Take a large bowl and then add six cups of croissant crumbs, half cup of coarsely chopped pecans, one cup chopped dates and three tablespoon melted butter. Then you need to add spices to this bowl and it includes one teaspoon ground nutmeg and one teaspoon powdered cinnamon and mix the contents well.
Now in another bowl take either two and a half cup of light cream or take one cup of heavy cream along with one and a half cups of milk. Then add three large eggs to this mixture and also add one cup of light brown sugar. Add one and a half teaspoon of vanilla essence and blend them well to make a smooth and fine mixture. Now mix the contents in two bowls together and make a fine paste.
Take one and a half cups of mashed sweet potato and add this in to the bowl containing butter and croissant crumbs. Blend the entire mixture well and keep it for ten minutes. Then transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake it for 55 minutes or till the pudding get set. This will be enough to make ten servings. You can serve this with Caramel sauce.
Take one cup of granulated sugar in a sauce pan and to this add Â¼ cup of water and heat the mixture till the sugar becomes brown in color. Then gradually add one cup of heavy whipping cream and Â¼ teaspoon of vanilla and stir them well. Keep the mixture in low flame till the caramel dissolves well and blend finely with the cream. The sauce will become slightly thick and you can use it for serving either hot or cool.
