After T-Mobile G1, the first Android phone of T-Mobile, this US carrier has unveiled its next Android powered phone – T-Mobile myTouch 3G. This phone created by HTC is a sleek touchscreen device.
T-Mobile myTouch 3G features
The specialty of myTouch is the several numbers of ways of customizing the menus, wallpaper, icons and apps to add your personal touch to the device.
MyTouch 3G, being an Android powered phone, gives instant access to numerous Google applications and services. Thousands of applications are now available for Android phones. Whether you want to access the game of your choice, or location based shopping or social networking destinations, you can select the desired app from Android Market. Prominent Google services, including Google Search, YouTube, Google Maps, Google Contact, Gmail and Picasa, will be available on myTouch 3G.
Sherpa, an application developed by Geodelic, will be one of the unique apps for myTouch users. Geodelic Engine for Interest Evaluation or GENIE, an important component of Sherpa, will automatically customize the different features of the phone by tracing the behavior or preferences of the user.
User feedbacks will help the application to mark the user behavior.
Depending upon your location, Sherpa will recommend you about the cafes, shops and other attractions of the region, which you will find useful. Perhaps no other application currently available is as useful as Sherpa is.
T-Mobile myTouch 3G specifications
MyTouch handsets will be available in white, black and merlot colors. It has 3.2-inch HVGA touch screen, virtual keyboard, 3.2-megapixel camera and music player. Memory of the device could be extended to 4GB with microSD memory card. The fast speed of data transfer through 3G and WiFi will enable speedy upload of pictures and videos to social network sites. Besides Google Talk, instant messaging is provided through Windows Live, AOL and Yahoo! Messenger.
T-Mobile myTouch 3G will cost $199.99. It will come with a two-year contract.
