Two years ago, T-Mobile introduced the first Android powered smartphone G1. Now it has arrived with an upgraded version of G1, packed with the latest features of the Android operating system. The new Android device named G2 will be the first smartphone to boast HSPA + or 4G connectivity.
T-Mobile has teamed up once again with HTC to produce its latest Google phone. The robust 2.2 version of the Android operating system has been incorporated in T-Mobile G2. G2 users could access the Android Market place, which is currently flooded with more than 80,000 applications. The stunning Android smartphone flaunts a unique ‘hinge’ design. Along with a large 3.7 inches touch display, the smartphone carries a full QWERTY keyboard. G2 is equipped with seven home screen panels, which can be easily customized. It has a dedicated home screen panel from where you can access popular Google applications with a single click.
The 800-megahertz Snapdragon MSM7230 processor of the handset will ensure superb performance, long battery life and robust download speed, web browsing and multimedia experience. G2 will be first smartphone in the world to feature the new Voice Actions application of Google. This new Google app will enable users to control different features of the device with their voice. Moreover, this will be the first smartphone with the new Voice Actions feature of Google Search. In addition, G2 will be preloaded with popular Google services such as Google Maps with Places and Navigation, Google Earth, Google Search, YouTube, Gmail, Google Talk and others.
The 5-megapixel camera with auto focus, LED flash and high-definition (720p) video recorder will enable G2 users to snap photos and shoot crystal clear high-definition videos and store them in their Photobucket account. G2 users could access personal and business emails, including Microsoft Exchange email, social networking sites, instant messages, contacts and calendar with this Android phone. The Adobe FlashPlayer enabled browser also offers pinch and zoom functionality for web browsing. If you love packing your smartphone with documents and files, the 4 GB internal memory of the smartphone might not meet your needs. Fortunately, G2 supports external memory expansion. It supports up to 32 GB of storage space and an 8GB micro SD card will be shipped with the device.
