Symptoms in First Trimester
The most relevant symptoms during the first trimester of pregnancy is nausea. Most of the women experience nausea and vomiting and it will be worse during the morning hours and last for the whole day. This is due to the hormonal changes that are happening in the body. In order to get relief from this you need to increase the frequency of your meals and reduce the amount of intake at a time. Also avoid foods that are rich in fat instead take foods that are easily digestible. Drink plenty of fluids like juices and ginger ale is good for nausea.
Tenderness in Breast
A change in the hormonal level makes your breast more sensitive and tender. You may have heavier or fullness feeling on the breast. Use a supportive bra to get some comfort.
You may have an increased urge for urination as the enlarging uterus exerts more pressure on your bladder. Whenever you have an urge for urination then empty your bladder as otherwise it lead to urinary tract disease. Drink less water after evening to avoid the trips to bathroom at night.
Your body will have various changes when you become pregnant and your heart pumps faster to pump in more blood to uterus. All this will increase tiredness in you and in order to get rid of this take enough protein and iron as per your doctor’s recommendation.
The changes in blood circulation makes you dizzy and avoid standing for a long period and when you get up from some where do it slowly. It may also increase your hunger and hence food frequently.
During pregnancy the food that you eat moves slowly towards the stomach and hence your stomach remains empty for long period. This improves the uptake of nutrients from the foods but it increases heartburn and constipation problems. Hence take plenty of fiber rich foods and avoid citrus fruits, carbonated drinks, spicy and fried foods.
