After launching Quantico in November last year, Motorola has brought yet another rugged phone. The latest rugged device from Motorola is named Motorola Brute i680. It has been created exclusively for Sprint.
Motorola Brute i680 feature
Flaunting a clamshell form, the upcoming Motorola Brute i680 meets the Military Specification standard similar to the previous Motorola rugged phones. Motorola Brute i680 could withstand shock, extreme temperatures, vibration, low pressure, salt fog and radiation. Even non-adventurous people who would not venture into unfriendly locales would find this water, dust and shock resistant phone useful.
Motorola Brute i680 would come to your aid in emergencies. Motorola Brute i680 users could access the Public Safety application, an emergency service that is exclusively available on the Nextel Sprint network. This will allow Motorola Brute users to communicate with public safety personnel even when they are present in regions not covered by the carrier’s network. Other than the rugged design and the preinstalled public safety application, Motorola Brute i680 sports quite ordinary technical specifications. The clamshell phone comes with a 2.2 inches main internal display with 176 x 220 pixels resolution.
The 120 x 160 pixels external display of the phone measure 1.3 inches. The 2 megapixel camera of Motorola Brute is equipped with flash. An MP3 player is integrated in the rugged phone. The stereo Bluetooth support of the phone will allow you to connect the device to compatible wireless headsets. The integrated web browser of Motorola brute will help you to surf the internet on the go. With the help of the built-in GPS and Sprint’s navigation service, users could find their destinations. Motorola Brute will support prominent messaging formats including email.
It will even support threaded messaging. The push to talk service of Nextel Direct Connect will offer instant communications. Motorola Brute i680 users have the option of converting a push to talk call to interconnect voice call by simply pressing a button. The battery of Motorola Brute promises to provide extended talk time. Motorola Brute comes with 180MB internal storage space. Users could expand the external memory of the rugged device with memory card.
