Sprint Brings Affordable Touchscreen Phone Samsung Seek

Samsung has brought an affordable touchscreen phone dubbed Samsung Seek. The phone will be part of Sprint’s portfolio. Samsung Seek is an upgraded version of Samsung Exclaim, which was launched last year to replace Samsung Rant.

Samsung Seek features

This messaging phone sports a modest 2.6 inches display of 240 x 320 pixels resolution. It seems that the affordable price tag had prevented Samsung from giving Seek a larger screen. Keeping in mind the demand for a physical keyboard, which is always adored by social networking buffs, Samsung has included a slide out QWERTY keyboard in the device.

You might hate the idea of working with a basic 1.3 megapixel phone camera. However, you can hardly expect a better camera on a reasonably priced messaging phone. Sprint subscribers could use Sprint PCS Picture Mail for printing and sharing photos taken with the Seek camera. Facebook and Twitter fans would love to know that these social networking apps are preloaded in the Samsung Seek handset. The predictive text feature will predict the oft-used words as you type your messages, speeding your messaging task. The integrated browser will help you to surf the web.

Samsung Seek will perform its messaging tasks with élan. You can use this phone for exchanging SMS, MMS, emails and instant messages. Equipped with Bluetooth 2.1, Samsung Seek could be connected to Bluetooth compatible headsets. Memory expansion up to 32 GB will be supported by the microSD memory card slot. Samsung Seek supports computer synchronization. It features USB port and 3.5mm audio jack. It will support location-based services. Seek is a CDMA device. The battery of the phone will support up to 5.80 hours of talk time. It will carry common cell phone tools including calendar, calculator and alarm.

Seek will be the first Sprint device to come in a recyclable package with a postage paid mailing label. Users can pack their old Seek handsets in the eco friendly package for recycling without paying any extra charge.

This youthful feature phone from Samsung will be available in pink and scarlet colors. It will cost $29.99 along with a two-year Sprint contract after a $50 mail in rebate.
