The upcoming Sony Ericsson phone will be called Sony Ericsson Vivaz. While most cell phone manufacturers are busy launching Android or Windows Mobile phones, Sony Ericsson has incorporated the Symbian S60 5th Edition in the new smartphone. One of the key features of the Sony Ericsson Vivaz is the 8.1 megapixel camera equipped with high-definition video recording capability.

Equipped with high-end camera and advanced multimedia features, Sony Ericsson Vivaz promises to keep you entertained on the go. The 3.5 inches touch sensitive screen of the phone is capable of displaying high-resolution images of 360 x 640 pixels. Sony Ericsson is noted for its camera phones. Sony Ericsson Vivaz sports an 8.1 megapixel camera with LED flash, auto focus, digital zoom, smile detection and face detection features. It is capable of capturing high-definition videos at 720p. The integrated GPS will support geo tagging. After snapping stills or capturing videos with the high-end camera of the smartphone, you can upload them on social network sites such as Picasa or YouTube.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz will provide tough competition to the popular Samsung Omnia HD and the upcoming Motorola Roi. All these phones have similar 8 megapixel cameras with high-definition video recording capability. The 720MHz processor of the smartphone might not be comparable to the Snapdragon powered handsets, but the processor speed is enough to support most apps. Sony Ericsson Vivaz has an integrated MP3 player and FM radio. It supports video files in prominent formats.

The stereo Bluetooth support of Sony Ericsson Vivaz will allow you to connect the handset to wireless headsets. This 3G enabled smartphone will run on the quad band GSM and dual band UMTS networks.

Sony Ericsson Vivaz will be available in selected markets from the first quarter of this year. It will be available in cosmic black, silver moon, Venus ruby and cosmic blue colors.
