For all those fashion conscious shoppers, who love to own special edition luxury phones, Sony Ericsson has some good news. Dolce & Gabbana has descended from the international runways to the luxury phone domain. The Italian luxury brand has teamed up with Sony Ericsson to create Sony Ericsson Dolce & Gabbana Jalou.
This is not the first venture of Dolce & Gabbana in the cell phone circuit. Couple of years back, Dolce & Gabbana had designed the Motorola Razr special gold edition phone.
Sony Ericsson Dolce & Gabbana Jalou features
Sony Ericsson Jalou has been designed to complement your fashion accessories. Its 73mm long body is wrapped in 24 carat gold plating. This tiny phone will be shipped with three rose satin bags and a gold plated Dolce & Gabbana headset.
This luxury clamshell phone will run on quad band GSM and tri band UMTS networks. It has two displays. The tiny external LCD display of 36 x 128-pixel resolution will support only two colors. The internal 2-inch TFT display will support 262000 colors and images of 240 x 320-pixel resolution. Besides acting as the display, the screen of Jalou, at the touch of a button, could transform into a mirror.
The internal 100MB memory of the Sony Ericsson Jalou handset could be expanded with microSD memory card. Just like any other Sony Ericsson cell phone, this too has a wonderful camera. The built-in camera of 3.2-megapixel resolution is equipped with 3.2 x zoom and camcorder capabilities. It includes features such as geo tagging, photo fix and photo feeds. Sony Ericsson Jalou also features music player, FM radio, speaker and GPS with preloaded Google Maps. Synchronizing the cell phone with the PC is facilitated with the USB 2.0 port. Jalou supports Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. However, Wi-Fi is missing from the handset.
Dolce & Gabbana pictures, wallpapers, themes, videos and blogs will be preloaded in this luxury phone handset. One of the special attractions of the phone will be the preloaded video of Dolce & Gabbana collection portrayed in women’s autumn/winter runway including backstage scenes of the event. Regular horoscope and events update will reach users through RSS feed of the fashion interface of the handset.
Sony Ericsson Dolce & Gabbana Jalou will be available from the fourth quarter of this year in sparkling rose color.
