Samsung Launches Behold II Last holiday season Samsung launched Behold. The successor of Behold, Behold II will arrive on T-Mobile in this holiday season. Joining the steady growing army of Android smartphones, Samsung Behold II is another Android touchscreen phone waiting to be picked up by cell phone freaks.

Although, Behold II is touted to be the upgraded version of the original Behold model, the marked technical differences between the original Behold and its successor make Behold II altogether a unique handset. Behold II is 0.5-inch longer and 0.3 grams heavier that the original Behold model.

The mystic brown color scheme and the curved edges of the handset make Behold II a pretty phone. Samsung has upgraded the display of the latest Behold handset. Behold II sports 3.2 inches, 320 x 480 pixels AMOLED display. With the AMOLED screen, Behold II will display crispier images, which you can view with least eyestrain.

The new Behold handset has drifted away from the resistive touchscreen display of the original model. The capacitive touchscreen display will respond only when you press the screen with your finger. The touch friendly user interface of Behold II is powered by Samsung’s TouchWiz 2.0 user interface. Behold II will be the first Samsung Android phone to sport the TouchWiz UI. The unique Cube Navigation Menu presents the multimedia applications installed in the smartphone in a 3D cube format. Behold II sports a 5-megapixel camera fitted with auto focus, LED flash and digital zoom.

The integrated multimedia player supports audio and video playback. Compared to its predecessor, Behold II has incorporated greater internal storage space. The 200MB internal memory of Behold II could be expanded up to 16GB with microSD memory card. A 2GB memory card will be shipped with the handset. This smartphone comes with A-GPS support. Behold II will run on the quad band GSM and dual band UMTS networks. To facilitate speedy data download, Behold II facilitates 3G connectivity. This Samsung Android device also features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and PC syncing. The battery of the phone supports up to 6 hours of talk time.

Price and availability
Samsung Behold II will be available from November 18. It will cost $230 with a two-year T-Mobile service contract.
