Samsung Intrepid – WinMo Phone For Sprint

Samsung Intrepid I350 Cell phone makers are busy creating smartphones featuring the new Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system. Samsung has created a phone powered by the latest Windows Mobile platform exclusively for Sprint, named Samsung Intrepid. This Samsung phone from Sprint will offer the latest features and services of Windows Mobile 6.5 at an affordable price.

Samsung Intrepid I350 features
Samsung Intrepid sports a 2.5-inch touch sensitive display, equipped with 320x 240 pixels resolution, 65000 colors support, accelerometer, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor.

Samsung Intrepid features a personalized Today screen, which displays new text messages, emails, missed calls and calendar appointments. To facilitate messaging function further, a QWERTY keyboard has been added to the handset. This Samsung Windows Mobile phone sports a 3.5 mega pixels camera, equipped with auto focus and zoom. Users could download their favorite songs from the Sprint Music Store, which they can hear on the integrated MP3 music player of Samsung Intrepid. Just like all the upcoming smartphones running on the Windows Mobile 6.5 platform, Samsung Intrepid will also support near-PC like web browsing experience with the redesigned Internet Explorer Mobile browser with Flash support. To prevent data loss, users can access the MyPhone online backup service of Microsoft. From the Windows Marketplace for Mobile, Samsung Intrepid users could download games, apps and other downloadable contents. Samsung Intrepid will keep you connected to popular social network sites, such as Facebook and Twitter, on the go.

Sprint subscribers could access popular Sprint services such as Sprint TV and Music store, Sprint Navigation and Sprint NFL Mobile with the Samsung Intrepid smartphone. Samsung Intrepid will run on Sprint’s quad band GSM or dual band CDMA networks. This Samsung smartphone will support high-speed data transfer through EV-DO Rev and Wi-Fi connectivity.

You can use Bluetooth headsets with this device. USB 2.0 port will support PC syncing with this Samsung handset. You can use Samsung Intrepid for exchanging text messages, multimedia messages, EMS and emails. Instant messaging will be supported by Windows Live. Memory of the phone could be expanded with microSD memory card.

Price and availability
Samsung Intrepid will cost $150 along with a two-year contract with Sprint. It will be available in the Sprint retail stores from October11.
