Salmon Recipes

Salmon is a nutritious fish that many people enjoy. Salmon is a firm fish hence  it can be cooked in different ways. It is available in different forms like smoked, fresh, canned, frozen etc. Salmon is rich with vitamin D, B12, B6, selenium, niacin, calcium, omega 3 fatty acid. Here are some recipes to make salmon.



Salmon Loaf

Salmon loaf is an easy to make recipe and it requires



Salmon – one can
Bread crumb – three cups of fine and dry crumbs
Parsley – one and a half tablespoon finely chopped parsley
Lemon juice – one tablespoon
Salt – one teaspoon
Pepper – ¼ teaspoon
Celery – half cup of finely chopped celery
Onion – two tablespoon grated onion
Butter – three tablespoon
Egg – two beaten eggs

Preparation of Salmon Loaf




Take the salmon out of the can and break it in to large pieces. Reserve the liquid obtained from the can and mix it with milk to get ¾ cup of liquid and keep aside. Keep salmon in a large bowl and to this add bread crumbs, lemon juice, parsley, pepper, salt, onion, celery and butter. Combine the entire mixture and arrange it in a greased loaf pan. Now add two beaten eggs to the reserved liquid and milk mixture and pour this mixture over the salmon. Then bake the loaf at a temperature of 350 degree for about 45 minutes or till the center of the loaf is set. Your salmon loaf is now ready to serve.

Salmon Patties

Ingredients

Salmon – one can
Onion – one small onion that is grated finely
Parsley – two tablespoon freshly minced parsley
Black pepper – to taste
Egg – two beaten eggs
Dry bread crumbs – one and a half cup
Butter – three tablespoon

Take a large bowl, add the contents from the salmon can to the bowl and flake it with a spoon. Now add grated onion, pepper and parsley and combine them well. Now add the beaten eggs and about ¾ cups of dry bread crumbs to make the mixture thick. Now you can make almost 12 small patties out of this mixture. Then roll them in the remaining bread crumbs. Keep a skillet or frying pan on low flame and add two tablespoon butter to the pan. Slowly fry one side of the patties and add one more tablespoon butter to the patties and turn it to fry the other side. You can make 6 serving out of this.
