Food poisoning is a condition in which the affected person’s stomach, small intestine etc becomes inflated. It may be due to the intake of contaminated food, food allergy or excessive intake of alcohol. Ginger



Make ginger tea and drink this tea after your meals. You can also make a paste of a small piece of ginger with a little butter milk and take it thrice a day. This will help you to digest the food properly and also aids in getting relief from nausea and heartburn.

Lemon Juice




Add one tablespoon of lemon juice to a cup of hot water and drink this just before the meal. This may aid in preventing the acid indigestion. Instead of lemon juice you can also use apple cider vinegar.

Papaya

Get a raw papaya and cut it in to small pieces or you can grate it. Add these papaya pieces in to two cups of water and boil it for 15 minutes. Then filter the liquid from the mixture and drink it three times a day.

Herbal Teas

In order to get relief from the discomforts of food poisoning you can drink herbal tea made out of chamomile tea, raspberry, mint etc.

Basil

Mix three tablespoon of basil leaf extract with half cup of fresh curd. To this add a pinch of powdered black pepper and black salt. Take this mixture three times a day. It will help you to avoid the body pain, weakness, vomiting etc.

While taking these natural remedies to cure your food poisoning you need to avoid soft drinks, soda, sweet drinks, caffeinated drinks, alcohol etc.

Food poisoning requires good rest as the body’s defense mechanism will produce antibodies to fight with the invading bacteria and other parasites during this period. At this point of time you need to minimize all other activities of the body and permit the body to cure itself and immediately.
