Rumors are rife that Motorola has created its second Android phone, which will be launched soon by Verizon Wireless. Philips V808 displays all the features that you expect to find in a standard smartphone. This second Android phone from Philips flaunts a 3.2-inch HVGA touch sensitive display, 3.2 megapixel camera, widget support and integrated music and video players. External memory expansion will be supported by microSD memory card. Built-in GPS will facilitate users to find directions on the move. This upcoming Philips Android phone will run on the GSM, GPRS and EDGE connectivity. Philips has created this Android phone primarily for China Mobile, which will soon introduce this impressive smartphone in China.
The upcoming Motorola Android phone, touted to be Motorola Calgary, will soon arrive. Verizon will be the exclusive carrier of this Motorola device. The touch screen of Motorola Calgary will be equipped with the robust Blur user interface created by Motorola. This touchscreen phone will also come with a slide out full QWERTY keyboard. It will feature 3-megapixel camera, integrated music player, 3.5mm headset jack, 3 touch sensitive keys, GPS, microSD card support and digital compass.
Unlocked Android phone from Google
Sometime later this year, Google will introduce its own Android phone. Google, it seems, is not willing to lose the revenue, which other cell phone makers are reaping selling phones running on the Android platform. The Android phone that will be launched under the Google logo will be an unlocked device. This upcoming phone will be powered by the Qualcomm processor. The technical specifications of this upcoming Google phone are not yet available.
