Nokia 5230 Nuron – New Nokia T-Mobile Phone With Free Navigation App

GPS powered smartphones have become an irresistible travel companion. However, the best mapping software always comes for a price. Thanks to Nokia, now you can avail the navigation app without paying an extra cent. Nokia has launched its latest Symbian based smartphone Nokia 5230 Nuron, which will be one of the first Nokia smartphones to come loaded with free Nokia navigation software.

Nokia 5230 Nuron is a touchscreen smartphone running on the Symbian operating system. It comes with the usual smartphone features that you would find in most standard smartphones. The 3.2 inches TFT touch sensitive display comes with 360 x 640 pixels resolutions and supports 16.7 million colors.

To enhance the touch sensitivity of the display, Nokia Nuron is equipped with proximity sensor. The accelerometer fitted to the device allows you to view images in both portrait and landscape formats as you rotate the phone. With the 2 megapixel camera of the phone you can snap photos and record videos and upload the audio and video files to your favorite social network site directly from the Nuron handset.



Nokia Nuron’s camera is equipped with CMOS sensor, 3x zoom, photo editor and video calling features. Music lovers could enjoy music blaring from the integrated MP3 player and FM radio of the phone.

The free navigation software installed in Nuron will help you locate restaurants and landmarks. The mapping app provides turn-by-turn driving and walking directions. The pedestrian navigation will provide shortcuts through buildings and parks. With the Lonely Planet guide, you can explore new places and restaurants.




Keeping in mind the needs of the social network enthusiasts, Nokia has included a ‘Contacts’ bar, which displays the updates and conversation details of up to 20 contacts. Nokia 5230 Nuron also features Bluetooth, 3G connectivity, browser and USB 2.0 port. However, Wi-Fi is missing from the device. It will offer 70MB internal storage space. For extra storage, you can use microSD memory card. The battery of Nokia Nuron will support up to 7 hours of talk time and up to 438 hours of standby time.
