Belching is a process of releasing gas from the digestive tract through the mouth. This may be accompanied by a sound and a bad smell at times. These sound and bad smell may makes a person embarrassed. The gas inside the stomach may cause discomfort and the belching will help you to relive the discomfort.
Belching occurs due to the food habits. If you are person who eats food quickly and in large quantities then it may cause the air to move in to the stomach. This gas in turn will come out as belching. Certain foods that may cause formation of gas include the beans, cabbage, bananas, lentils, apricots, onions etc. Certain disease like gastro esophageal reflux may also cause belching.
Remedies for Belching
Eat food slowly and chew them well so that the chances for developing gas will be less. Also try to avoid chewing gum, excessive consumption of onions, cabbage, apricots, beans, milk, sugars, carbonated drinks, chocolates, alcohol etc so that the development of gas inside the stomach can be minimized and so the belching.
You have to take soup before starting your meals as the soups will prepare the digestive tract for digestion process. It will eliminate the salts and lipids present in the digestive tract and will initiate the formation of gastric juice.
Mint is found to act as a digestive agent and thus it will make the digestive process easy. Some fresh mint leaves or even a few drops of mint essence in water is essential for inducing proper digestion.
Herbal tea made from raspberry, blackberry, mint, chamomile will help you give a proper digestion and thus prevents belching.
While preparing food add asafetida in to it and asafetida will help you to get rid of the gas formation. You can even have asafetida mixed with butter milk.
Get a cup of clean and pure water and soak one teaspoon fenugreek seeds in it. Take this water early in the morning in empty stomach. This will give you relief from belching.
Add a little of baking soda in a glass of water and drink this water. This will stop belching immediately.
Taken two or three cloves of garlic in empty stomach and this will help you to avoid the problems of gas and also improves the digestion process.
