Avoid saturated fats:

Omega-3 fatty acids found in fish, fish oil, walnut and flax seed could slow down progression of multiple sclerosis. Limit sugar intake:

People suffering from multiple sclerosis should limit sugar consumption. Refined sugar could worsen the symptoms of multiple sclerosis. However, fructose or sugar present in fruits and honey might be safe for multiple sclerosis patients.

Avoid alcohol:

Alcoholic beverages are not recommended for multiple sclerosis patients.

Limit caffeine:

Caffeine might be harmful for people with multiple sclerosis. Multiple sclerosis patients should limit consumption of coffee, tea, chocolates and carbonated beverages.
