Motorola Brings MC9500 Mobile computing has attained a new dimension, courtesy Motorola’s latest rugged mobile computing device – Motorola MC9500.

Following the success of Motorola’s immensely popular MC9000 handheld computing device, Motorola has added new features to the MC9000 model, creating the brand new MC9500-K. This is the first Motorola mobile computer model to work on the Motorola Mobility Platform Architecture 2.0.

This Motorola handheld computer boasts an impressive ergonomic design. It has a sleek form that can be comfortably held in a single hand. Motorola MC9500 is 9.2-inch long, 3.5-inch wide and 2-inch thick and weighs 22 oz. Its rugged design makes it a durable device suitable for rough handling. MC9500 confirms to the strict military standard specifications. It can withstand 6 feet fall. It can work in extreme temperature and fluctuating humidity. Motorola MC9500 is also water resistant.

This Motorola handheld computer can run on 3.5G GSM HSDPA and 3.5G CDMA-EVDO Rev A networks. MC9500 is capable of supporting multiple carriers through its FlexWAN feature, enabling users to switch the wireless broadband services according to their requirement. This mobile computing device features a flexible keypad. According to need, users can swap functions of the keypad, making it an alpha primary, numeric telephony, numeric calculator and full alphanumeric keypad.

Motorola MC9500 flaunts a 3.7-inch, 640 x 480 pixels high-resolution polycarbonate VGA display. You will hardly find such a large and bright display on any other comparable computing device. For improved viewing, the display of this mobile computer features backlight and digitizer. Motorola MC9500 is powered by Marvell PXA320 processor. It supports Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system.
