LG Introduces Its First Google Phone LG GW620

Google Android phones are becoming popular among cell phone makers. After HTC and Motorola, LG has unveiled a new smartphone running on the Android platform. LG GW620 will be the first Google phone from LG. This Google phone will be another social network centric device, catering to the need of the young social networking crazy generation.

This upcoming LG Google phone sports a 3-inch full touch sensitive display.
The TFT touchscreen will support images of 320 x 480-pixels resolution and 256K colors. The screen of LG GW620 is also fitted with accelerometer to switch between landscape and portrait views automatically, as you rotate the phone. This phone also comes with a slide out full QWERTY keyboard.
Presence of a full QWERTY keyboard eases the messaging task. According to LG, a full QWERTY keyboard is always popular among young professionals who prefer fast mobile computing on the move. LG GW620 features a 5-megapixel camera of 2560 x 1920 pixels resolution, with auto focus and video recording capability. This Android phone from LG will include music player supporting audio in the MP3 and MP4 formats. A stereo FM radio is integrated in this LG smartphone. It will support one touch access to email.
Users of this upcoming LG smartphone can exchange text messages including SMS with threaded view, multimedia messages or MMS and instant messaging. To help the phone users to find destinations, LG GW620 will come with A-GPS support. Web browsing in the HTML format will be facilitated with WAP 2.0/xHTML. LG GW620 will run on the quad band GSM network. For fast data transfer, users can switch to the HSDPA or 3G connectivity. LG GW620 will also support Wi-Fi, EDGE and Bluetooth connectivity. Micro USB port will be fitted to this LG Google phone. Just like any other Google phone, LG GW620 will give users access to most mobile Google apps. The external memory of this smartphone can be expanded up to 16GB with microSD memory card.
Availability
LG GW620 will be available in select European markets in the fourth quarter of this year.
