INQ Launches 2 Messaging Phones – INQ Chat and Mini

inq-chat-and-mini The current trend in the cell phone market is to design attractive and slim social networking feature phones. INQ mobile is a three-year old company. But ever since it launched INQ1, which was judged the Best Mobile Handset at the Global Mobile Awards 2009, INQ has started creating ripples in the mobile handset industry. After launching INQ1, this company has come up with two new devices – INQ Chat and INQ Mini.

To give smart phone users the best features in the area of mobile social networking, INQ has entered a deal with a San Francisco based company, Double Twist, founded by Jon Lech Johansen, a reputed internet hacker who was charged in Norway for breaching a computer security system.

INQ Chat
INQ Chat is the ideal phone for teenagers and young adults. INQ Chat, as the name suggests, is a device meant for chatting. Users could always stay hooked to the instant messaging services and emails offered by Google, Windows Live and Hotmail. As a social networking handset, direct access is ensured to popular social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and Skype. INQ Chat has Twitter integrated in the handset. Once the INQ Chat user logs in to his Twitter account, Twitter will continue running on the background. Moreover, Twitter updates will regularly appear on the home screen of the INQ Chat handset.

The technology, provided by Double Twist, will allow INQ Chat users to synch their INQ handset with iTunes and Windows music players. This new INQ handset is not only the device for chatting, but you can also listen to tracks directly from iTune. However, given the extreme protective nature of Apple, which tries to prevent synching between iTunes and other non-Apple music players, it remains to be seen how effectively the new INQ handsets could manage the iTunes synching process.

INQ Chat will support 3G connectivity, ensuring speedy transfer of data. INQ Chat can also be used as the HSDPA modem of your PC for accessing the internet. It features a full QWERTY keyboard, 2.4-inch display, 3.2 megapixel camera and the external storage space could be expanded up to 8GB with the help of the memory card.

INQ Mini
INQ Mini shares most of INQ Chat’s features. It is a smaller phone with 2.2-inch display, mono-block design and 2-megapixel camera.
