Huawei Unveils World’s First HSPA+ Android Phone

It usually takes a couple of minutes to download apps and videos on your cell phone handset. Huawei has launched an Android based cell phone that promises to download a 400MB video within 30 seconds.

Recently Huawei has unveiled the next generation high-speed smartphone named Huawei U8800. This is the first HSPA+ smart phone in the world. Along with U8800, Huawei has introduced three new cell phones – Huawei U8300, Huawei U8100 and Huawei U8110, all powered by the Android operating system.

Huawei U8800

Running on the Android 2.1 operating system, Huawei U8800 supports high-speed internet data access. This HSPA+ enabled device provides downlink speed up to 14 Mb/s. The 3.8 inches touch sensitive display offers wide field of vision for displaying sharp and crisp images. The camera of this upcoming Huawei device is equipped with LED flash and video recording capability. Video and music player is integrated in the Android handset. The memory card slot fitted in the device will facilitate external memory expansion with microSD memory card. This 3G enabled device is equipped with Bluetooth and USB port.

Huawei U8300

The colorful Huawei U8300 phones target the young social networking brigade. Running on the Android platform, this phone sports a touch screen display as well as a full QWERTY keyboard. The ergonomic design of the phone ensures that you can grasp the phone in your palm comfortably for a long period. Social networking apps, such as Facebook and Twitter are preloaded in this upcoming Huawei phone. Available in yellow, green and purple colored models, Huaweii U8300 will sport the usual smartphone features such as camera with LED flash, MP3 player, memory slot, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity.

Huawei U8100 and U8110

These two sleek Android powered Huawei phones flaunt similar technical features. Boasting a youthful design, these two smartphones will be shipped from the second quarter of this year. Both the devices sport 2.8 inches QVGA touch sensitive displays. They are equipped with two cameras. The primary 3.2 megapixel camera is mounted on the back of the phone. The secondary 0.3 megapixel camera is present in the front of the device. Both the Huawei handsets support Bluetooth, Wifi and 3G. Media player, microSD card slot and browser are integrated in these devices.
