HTC Introduces Desire, Legend, HD Mini

With escalation in demand for Android powered smartphones, HTC, which has created some stunning Google phones, has unveiled two hot Android smartphones. The creator of the first Google phone G1 has introduced HTC Desire and HTC Legend, which share several features with Google’s own Android device Nexus One. Along with the Android phones, HTC has launched a Windows Mobile smartphone, which is a downsized version of HD2.

HTC Desire



Running on the Android 2.1 operating system, HTC Desire will provide super fast speed with the help of the 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. The 3.7 inches AMOLED display of the phone is touted to be one of the best in the cell phone sector. The quality of the touch sensitive screen of HTC Desire is better than the standard PC monitors. The smartphone sports a customizable seven-panel home screen.

The unique ‘friend stream’ widget on the home screen would collect text messages, call history, emails and social networking updates in a single frame. A 5 megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio, Bluetooth, browser, microSD memory card slot and GPS with Google Maps and HTC Footprint are integrated in HTC Desire. This full touchscreen device offers 6.67 hours of talk time, 340 hours of standby time and 576 MB of internal storage space.



HTC Legend




HTC Legend will run on the Android 2.1 platform. The 3.2 inches touch sensitive screen of the phone is powered by the HTC Sense user interface. Users could easily customize the home screen, which allows users to view seven different home screens at the same time. Legend features a 5 megapixel camera, MP3 player, FM radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G connectivity and memory card slot.

The 1300 mAh Li-Ion battery of the phone supports up to 8.17 hours of talk time and 440 hours of standby time. HTC Legend will come with 384 MB internal storage space. Compared to Desire, Legend will carry a lower price tag.

HTC HD Mini

HTC HD Mini is powered by the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system and 600 MHz processor. The full touchscreen device sports the HTC Sense user interface. It sports a 5 megapixel camera, FM radio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS and 384MB storage space. Users can access the Windows Marketplace for Mobile for downloading apps and games.
