However, you can consume unsaturated fatty foods that could increase the level of high-density cholesterol in the body. Along with the LDL or bad cholesterol, increase in triglycerides, another component of our lipid profile, is responsible for rising heart diseases. To prevent heart attack, the total cholesterol level in your blood should be below 200mg per deciliter and the triglyceride level should be below 150mg/dL. To keep your blood pressure under control, stay away from excess salty foods. To prevent a heart attack try maintaining your blood pressure level around 120/80mmHg.




To reduce the risk of a heart attack, you should also stop smoking, and drink only moderately.
