How to Get Rid of Yellow Stained Nails
Some people may get yellow stains on their nails and this can be due to the accumulation of nicotine on the nail plate. This happens mainly in chain smokers. Yellow color may also develop if you use dark stained nail polishes with out applying the proper base coat. Here are some tips that may help you to avoid these yellow stains from your nails
Tips to Remove the Yellow Stains
Nail Polish Remover Scrub
Get a nail polish remover that does not contain any acetone. Add some nail polish remover to a cotton ball and use this to scrub your nails. Then immerse your nails in bowl containing warm water and five drops of essential oil of lemon. Keep the fingers in this mixture for about 10 minutes. Again scrub the nails with a cotton ball containing nail polish remover.
Nail Buffer
Buff your stained nails with a buffer and this may help you to get rid of any stains that stick to the surface of the nails.
Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide
Take a small bowl and to this add one tablespoon three percent hydrogen peroxide and three tablespoon baking soda. Mix them well and apply and massage this mixture on the stained nails with the help of a tooth brush. Keep it on the fingers for about ten minutes so that it will penetrate to the nails. Now rinse it with warm water and repeat this treatment at least two times a day.
Lemon Juice
Take a cup of warm water and to this add one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice. Mix them well and soak your yellow colored fingernails in this water for ten minutes. Then cut a lemon in to half and use one half to rub over the nails. Continue this treatments daily and till the yellow color is gone.
Denture Cleaner
Get a tablet of denture cleaner and add it to a cup of warm water. Keep this water till the tablet get dissolved and when the water becomes cool dip your stained fingernails in this water for about 10 minutes. You can repeat this process for about three times a day and continue till the yellow stain gets removed.
