Homemade Fresh Fruit Juices

Ingredients



4 cups of chopped watermelon, de-seeded
2 cups of crushed ice
4 tsp of honey (alternately you can also use sugar)
1/2 tsp of ground black pepper
Fresh mint, for garnishing
Method

Combine the watermelon, ice, honey, and the black pepper in a blender and blend until a smooth mixture is formed. Pour the drink in a glass jug and refrigerate for an hour. Before serving, stir well. Serve chilled in frosted glasses, garnished with mint leaves.

Watermelon is high in water content and has vitamin A and Vitamin c and potassium. Thus, it is quite effective in flushing out toxins from the body and keeping it hydrated.



TROPICAL FRUIT JUICE
Serving: 2 persons

Ingredients




2 Kiwi fruits
2 Oranges
1 Mango
2 cups of water
1 cup of crushed ice

Method

Wash the fruits thoroughly under running water. Peel the kiwi fruits and the mango and slice them. Keep in a bowl. Peel the oranges and section each of them and remove the seeds. Transfer the fruits to a blender and process. Add in the water and crushed ice and process further. Pour the juice in tall glasses and serve immediately. Add more ice if required.

Kiwi fruit is not just a good source of potassium, magnesium and copper but is also an excellent source of vitamin C whereby it is beneficial for the overall well-being.

LEMON & LIME JUICE
Serving: 2 persons
Prep Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients

1 cup of grapes
2 apples
1 inch of fresh ginger
1 lime
1 tbsp of freshly made lemon juice
2 cups of water
1 cup of crushed ice

Method
Wash the fruits thoroughly under running water. Core the apples and slice them. Now juice the ginger and the apple slices together. Then add in the rest of the fruits and juice together. Add in the water and crushed ice and blend. Pour in tall glasses and serve immediately. Add in more ice cubes, if required.

While apples are a good source of dietary fibers and vitamin C, mangoes are rich in potassium and Vitamin A.
