Holiday in Seychelles

Time to visit
The warm tropical climate with plenty of sunshine and rain, make Seychelles a year round destination. However, the peak tourist season is undoubtedly during the Christmas holidays. This is also the wettest time of the year. From December to February, Seychelles gets most of its rainfall.

Arriving here
The main international airport of Seychelles is located in Mahe. There are domestic flights, which connect Mahe to other islands of Seychelles.

Seychelles attractions
Seychelles is a group of 115 islands. These islands vary in size. The islands range from the larger populous ones to the tiny coral ridges jutting out of the sea. You will need more than a month to travel throughout the length and breadth of the coutry. For a short vacation, you can choose two or three islands of Seychelles.

After landing in Seychelles International Airport, in Mahe, you can spend the rest of the day on this island, before heading to your next destination. Victoria, the capital of Seychelles, is located on Mahe Island. This island is framed by tall mountain ranges.

Your next stop can be Praslin Island. It takes only 15 minutes to reach Praslin from Mahe by air. Here you will be stunned by the natural beauty of Valle de Mai, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The indigenous coco de mer palm trees line the island. This is a great place for bird watching.

Take a boat from Praslin to visit Cousine Island. This island, 6km to the west of Praslin, is the site for the implementation of a conservation program. Cousine Island is home to thousands of indigenous plants and birds of Seychelles. Four giant tortoises are a popular attraction of the island.

After your sightseeing trip, if you want to spend few days relaxing on a quite beach, go to La Digue Island. La Digue is only 5km from Praslin. This island is less crowded than the other bigger islands of Seychelles. The white beach of Anse Source D’Argent is a good place to visit.
