Healthier Skin During Cold Seasons
Many skin problems appear during winter season. The skin may become dry, rough and you may feel itchy too. Even your coat, swatter, gloves etc may not be enough to protect your skin from the cold. Here are some tips that may help you to maintain a healthy skin during cold season.
Tips for Healthy Skin in Cold Season
Warm Water Bath
During winter most of the people prefer to take a bath in hot shower but hot showers are not good during cold season. This is because hot showers may wipe out the natural oil or sebum from your skin and leave your skin drier. Instead take a bath in warm showers and make it in less time. Also avoid the harsh soaps that dry out the skin. Then pat dry your skin with a soft towel.
After drying your skin you need to moisturize your skin with a good moisturizer. You have to apply moisturizer every time you wash your body and if possible apply moisturizer at least four times a day. If you apply moisturizer immediately after your bath then your skin may trap more moisture.
If you are going out the apply sunscreen on your skin and never thinks that in winter there won’t be any sun burn. Even if the sunburn is less in winter still it persists. So protect your skin from sun damages caused by the harmful UV rays.
Drink a lot of water in winter also. Take at least eight to ten glasses of water every day and this helps you to keep yourself hydrated. Also avoid intake of caffeine, carbonated drinks, black tea etc as it removes water from the body.
Place a humidifier at your home and office. It will make your room warm and at the same time build moisture in the room atmosphere. This may help you to keep your skin moisturized and healthy.
Rosewater and Glycerin
Apply a mixture of glycerin and rose water on your skin and glycerin will help you to draw moisture towards the skin while rosewater acts as a toner that makes the skin soft.
