Hair Care With Hair Spa

Everyday wear and tear makes your hair lose its natural appearance. A great way to help your hair regain its former health is to give it a spa treatment. Nowadays, hair spa is as popular as body spa. You need not visit a salon for an expensive hair spa treatment. With easily available pantry ingredients, you could arrange for a hair spa in the comforts of your home. Oil massage
The first step of any hair spa is to give your hair a refreshing oil massage. You can use olive oil, almond oil or coconut oil for massaging your hair. To increase the effectiveness of the oil massage, boil a tablespoon of fenugreek seeds or fifteen to twenty henna leaves with the oil. Fenugreek seeds help to cure dandruff and henna helps to preserve the natural color of your hair. Soak a cotton ball in the oil and apply the oil on your entire scalp. Leave the oil for at least twenty minutes, and then wash your hair with a mild shampoo.

Shampoo
You can clean your hair and scalp with any mild shampoo. For a complete herbal hair spa treatment, you can consider making a shampoo with natural products at home. To make homemade shampoo, you need about two tablespoon of an herb such as chamomile, rosemary or nettle, one cup of boiling water and about half a cup of liquid castile soap. Boil the herb in water for about fifteen to twenty minutes. Blend the herbal decoction with the liquid soap and your herbal hair spa shampoo will be ready.

Hair rinse
After washing your hair with an herbal shampoo, you should rinse your hair with a mug of water to which one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar has been added. This helps to remove hair odor and it gives your hair a natural shine.

Repairing damaged hair
A hair mask helps to repair damaged hair. It nourishes the hair and stimulates new hair growth. If you have dry and damaged hair, you can apply mayonnaise on your hair. You can apply a hair mask made by mixing one teaspoon of honey, one tablespoon of almond or olive oil, one tablespoon of mashed avocado and one egg yolk. Leave this hair mask on your hair for about 20 minutes, and then wash it with a mild shampoo.
