The company that has gifted the smartphone makers the stunning Android operating system is finally bringing its very own Android powered Google phone. Google will officially unveil the Google branded smartphone on January 5, 2010.

Touted to be the best Android powered smartphone, the Google Nexus One will perhaps give its rivals a tough competition. Nexus One will run on the Android 2.1 operating system. It is a full touch screen device devoid of physical keyboard. However, it will carry a multicolor trackball. The 3.7 inches WVGA AMOLED touch screen will indeed be a fascinating display to watch crisp videos and pictures. With the 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, you need not compromise with speed. Like any decent touchscreen smartphone, Nexus One will also include light sensor, proximity sensor and accelerometer. Dedicated back, menu, search and home soft keys will display colorful illumination as you use them.
The haptic feedback of the virtual buttons of the touch screen will produce a physical-key like experience. Nexus One will carry a camera with 5 megapixel resolution. The Google Android phone’s camera will feature auto focus, 2 x digital zoom and LED flash. The integrated A-GPS of Nexus One will support geotagging of pictures and videos captured with the camera. To enhance the audio quality of the Google phone, active noise cancellation technology will be equipped in the device. Stereo Bluetooth support will enable users to connect the Google handset to wireless headphones.
Nexus One is also equipped with 3.5mm audio jack and microUSB port. This Android smartphone will run on quad band GSM and tri band UMTS networks. For speedy data downlink, Nexus One supports 3G connectivity. It also enables Wi-Fi connection. Google Nexus One will offer 512MB internal storage space. With microSD memory card, external storage space could be expanded up to 32GB. A 4GB microSD card will be shipped with the device.
Flaunting Teflon coated back cover, this upcoming Google babe measures 119mm (height) x 59.8mm (width) x 11.5mm (depth) and weighs 130 grams. Being a Google phone, several Google apps will be preloaded in the handset.
Although, Nexus One will be launched on 5 January, 2010, in the beginning only a select few invitees could get hold of the device.
