Smoothies made out of fruits are good for your health. Most of the smoothies are rich in vitamins like vitamin A, vitamin C etc. It is also rich with trace elements and minerals. A tall glass of smoothie is enough to supplement your energy level and make you fresh. If you are adding yogurt and milk in to this, then it will give you the additional benefits of calcium and proteins. Here are some smoothie recipes.
Berry Banana Smoothie Recipe
Get one small banana and peel it. Cut the banana in to pieces and keep it in refrigerator. Instead of this you can also use frozen banana pieces for this purpose. You can use a mix of berries like strawberry, raspberry, blackberry etc for making the smoothie. Take quarter cup of berries that may be fresh or frozen. Add these berries and bananas in to a blender and to this add one cup orange juice and three tablespoon low fat vanilla yogurt. Now blend the mixture well till in becomes a smoothie. Then you can pour it in to glasses and can garnish them.
You can also make it in another way. Put pieces of one ripe banana, Â½ cup raspberry, and Â¼ cup of blueberry, one and a half teaspoon honey, half cup of apple juice (having no added sugar), 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon powder and half cup of ice cubes. Blend them well in a blender and serve quickly for two people.
Take two bananas and cut them in to pieces. Also take ten whole strawberries and Â¼ cup of blueberries. Keep all the fruits in freezer for about three hours and then put them in a blender. To this add half cup of milk and mix them well to make a fine and thick mixture. This will be enough for two servings.
For making zero cholesterol berry banana smoothie you need to get one banana cut in to pieces and one cup of frozen berries. Instead of dairy products you can use one cup fortified vanilla soy milk. To this mixture add two tablespoon calcium fortified orange juice concentrate and two tablespoon maple syrup and blend the mixture to make a smoothie. This will be enough to serve four people.
