The Body Ecology Diet combines the healthy dieting principles of western and eastern societies.

An unhealthy gut is the cause of a large number of ailments. A healthy diet plan should nourish, rebuild and preserve the healthy gut flora. According to the Body Ecology Diet, dieters should limit intake of sugar, salt, meat and eggs. While sugar damages your gut by expanding it, salt, eggs and meat tends to contract the gut. To keep the gut in perfect health, you should consume plenty of vegetables and fruits.

You can reduce the risk of infections and cancers by increasing intake of alkaline foods. By slightly increasing the alkalinity of the blood, alkaline foods create an unfavorable environment for the Candida yeast. About 80 percent of your regular diet should comprise of alkaline foods.

The Body Ecology Diet recommends dieters to include organic yogurt, kefir, fermented vegetables, extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil and flaxseed oil in their diets.
