Pie crust

To make the crust you need 1½ cups of all-purpose flour, four tablespoons of cold butter, two tablespoons of cold vegetable shortening, two tablespoons of sugar, pinch of salt and a quarter cup of cold water. In a bowl, add the flour, salt and the sugar, and mix the ingredients. Add the vegetable shortening and the butter and blend the ingredients. Now add the water slowly to the ingredients to make soft dough. Put the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Remove the dough from the refrigerator and roll it out. The thickness of the pie crust should not be more than 1/8-inch thick. Place the rolled out dough on a pan. With your hands, adjust the shape of the edge of the pie crust. The edge can have a circular shape. You can even give some fancy wavy pattern to the edge. Now that the crust is ready, you can proceed with the filling of the blueberry pie.
