Banana is a fruit that is rich in potassium, vitamin C, B6, manganese, dietary fiber etc. Eating a banana daily will help us to sooth the ulcers in stomach and other parts of digestive tract. It also aids in promoting bone growth and kidney health. Here are some recipes that can be made with banana.
Prepare your oven by preheating it at a temperature of 350 degree F. Also prepare a baking loaf pan by slightly greasing the pan with butter and then sprinkle some flour over the pan to avoid the sticking of the cake to the pan.
Take a large bowl and to this add two cups of all purpose flour, one teaspoon baking soda and Â¼ teaspoon salt and sieve the mixture several times to get a fine mixture. Now in another bowl take half cup melted butter and Â¾ cup brown sugar and mix them well. Add two beaten eggs and 1/3 cups of mashed bananas to this butter mixture and blend them well till it becomes a fine mixture. Then mix the banana mixture to the flour mixture and mix them.
Pour the entire mixture into the greased pan and bake it for about 65 minutes.
Now allow the bread to cool for 10 minutes with in the pan itself and then take the bread out and keep on a wire rack for cooling. Once it gets cooled then cut the bread in to slices and serve it.
Banana smoothie is one of the refreshing drinks that can be made easily.. It is one of the healthiest choices for breakfast. For this you need one ripe banana and peel and cut it in to slices. Put these slices in to a blender and to this add 6 ounce milk, one teaspoon vanilla essence and 3 or 4 ice cubes.
Now blend the entire content well to get a smooth mixture. Now your banana smoothie is ready to serve. You can also make banana smoothie by blending one ripe banana, half cup non fat yogurt, one tablespoon honey and ice cubes.
